The notion of success that is running our life

'Success', Is a word that everyone in a civilized society will have heard about it. In some way, or other People want to be seen as successful in family and society. If personal Success is the outcome of a selfish act and its benefit exclusively for the Individual, then why do we celebrate Personal Success? In becoming a successful person often people cross the limit and achieve it through other people's expenses. We do everything to achieve success, and, in this journey, we forget to live our life.

At present, most of us mainly do economic activity and want to be seen as economically successful. If we can save time from this then we do social, cultural, religious, and political work. Our life's major time is gone too, doing "economic activity." If we are better off in terms of economically, compare to our surroundings then we call him a successful person. But success is not limited to the only economy, it is also about achieving a position in politics, administration, or society. It does not matter, how have you achieved it? Competitiveness and comparison are the heart of success, and they are ruining our life.

Often we forget that success is a relative concept. It does not have any absolute meaning. It is also true that success comes when we overemphasized any one field. Success also comes with failure. If we succeed in one field at the same time, we got failure in another field.

The word 'success' is a Latin word that was first recorded in 1580 and the meaning of it is the happy or desired outcome. Since 1882 it has been used especially in public and the meaning is "a thing or person which succeeds". The word was very popular in the 20th century and is still widely used in the 21st century. When it first emerged that was a transitory time for society, economy, and politics. It was also a period of the 'Scientific revolution.'

Society is moving from the Industrial revolution and the feudal system to the capitalist system. As history shows us, the word success is widely used in industrial society and not in an agricultural society. But it is used not in all industrial societies. It is prominently used in Capitalist industrial societies.

Free market capitalists believe in the theory of the 'invisible hand' which had given by Adam smith, the 18thcentury Economist, and Philosopher. Competition, not cooperation is the heart of the capitalist society. In this system they want us to compete with each other. In this process, we become hostile to each other.

It is the system, not the people need to be fixed. Until and unless we would not learn to co-operate, we will live a fearful life that someone is going ahead and we are lagging. So success is a vicious cycle and a never-ending process. We are human beings and this life is for living and not running behind one thing. If you broaden your view then you see there are so many things to do and explore in this world.
